ELR1 have had a wonderful Crafty term. We made a fantastic fireworks display using bright vibrant colours and kitchen roll tubes were cut up to make fantastic prints. We have enjoyed sensory play in our tuff trays and had fun with acorns, dried leaves and mouldable soap. We have also made snowmen from different materials such as cotton wool and white socks. We are now going to make fluffy snow.
Class One have been working hard with their cutting and sticking skills. They have each been making a Nursery Rhyme book, which will be able to be taken home. The class favourite Nursery Rhyme is Humpty Dumpty.
Using Nursery Rhymes is a very effective way to help introduce children to the patterns of language, speech sounds, and literacy skills.
Class One enjoy going outside and the trim trail allows everyone to use their co-ordination and balance to travel from one end to another without touching the ground. We try to get outside every day no matter what the weather is, so wellies and warm coats with hoods are really needed.
