This year we are going to distribute homework electronically to reduce the need for resources to be passed between home and school. This will also support us to establish a more interactive platform for children and staff to share and comment on learning, should classes/individuals need to self-isolate. The platform we are using is Microsoft Teams and One Note.
We access Microsoft Teams and OneNote through Glow, Education Scotland's national digital environment. Your child has been given login details for Glow and Microsoft Office apps, and we have practised logging in during school.
Homework can be accessed either by logging in to Glow through a web browser, or by downloading the Microsoft apps on your computer, tablet or phone. The attached guide will take you through each of these processes step by step.
We anticipate that this may be difficult in the initial stages, but please be assured that we are working at school to support the children to access Teams and OneNote with confidence. The use of a variety of different devices at home will be tricky but we will help families as much as we can.
