Primary Six were investigating the respiratory system. We built a model of the lungs. It took time and perseverance. Working with a partner helped.
We conducted experiments to investigate how exercise affects our breathing rate. It was great fun.
We used the internet and reference books to identify and label different parts of the respiratory system. Through our science topic we learned new skills and gained new knowledge.
Primary 6 have been learning all about democracy and took part in their own mock election.
The children ran the whole thing from creating their parties, registering voters, creating manifestos and counting the vote. After a close call, the Tomorrow Party were elected by their peers. Well done!
Primary six were interested in the industrial landscapes L.S. Lowry painted. We learned that his choice of background was often white and he used a palette of only four colours. The paintings we created in his style are fabulous !
