Welcome to Castlehill Early Years Centre (EYC).

Castlehill EYC accommodates children 2-5 years old. It is set in the heart of Bearsden.

Castlehill EYC is attached to Castlehill Primary school, we also have good links with many local schools.  We recognise the importance of partnerships with parents/carers and the local community to promote involvement in the life of the centre and ensure its success. We pride ourselves on being committed to providing a happy, stimulating environment with caring and skilled staff that support children’s wellbeing and learning.

We offer an environment rich in discovery, and creativity indoors and outdoors. We promote independence, skills for lifelong learning and secure attachments.

Our 3-5 Room offers space over 2 large playrooms, a garden forest and meadow, our 2-3 room offers a large playroom with free flow access outdoors.  We also have quiet learning and rest spaces.

Children’s learning is planned and tracked using a child led approach. We take children's current interests and our highly skilled work force scaffold and enhance learning, making link to the Curriculum for Excellence, Pre Birth to 3 and Realising the ambition. We promote children's rights through Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) approach and this is demonstrated through our planning principles as well as a focus on a specific article per term.  To see an insight to the learning evident throughout our centre on a weekly basis please see our Castlehill learning blog
