P7 - Outdoor Centre, Ardlui
All the Primary 7 children had an adventurous week in the great outdoors! During the day the thirty one Primary 7 children and five members of staff particiapted in hill walking, scrambling, abseiling, canoeing, mountain biking, archery and solution seeking. The children also had a different activity every evening: a night line, orienteering, a quest quiz and a ceilidh. Log books were completed before supper and lights out at 9.45pm. The children slept in rooms of either 2, 3 or 4 people in bunk beds. The wake up call was a 7.30am every morning, with the children being ready for breakfast at 8am after tidying their rooms ready for their inspection. The day's activities then began with each of the four groups being lead by a qualified instructor. The canoeing took place on Loch Lomond, with one group enjoying the excitment of strong winds and big waves!! Another group walked part of the West Highland Way along the loch side to a bothy and lit a camp fire. Cruach Tarbet was another popular hill walking destination with two of the groups. The walk was steep in places and was either cloudy at the top or showed wonderful views over numerous lochs in all directions. Below are just a few photos from the week away.
